How to Use Creative Visualization Techniques to Manifest Your Ultimate Goals

Today, I would like to teach you about visualization, one of the most important parts of attracting things with the Law Of Attraction. I will explain the basics of visualization to you, tell you what it is and how to do it correctly, so that you can easily attract anything you wish for. Remember that the Law Of Attraction is like the genie in Aladdin’s lamp: all you have to do is learn to use the lamp you’ve been given in a correct way.

To put a long story short, visualization is simply imagining you already received what it is you want. The Universe always gives us what it thinks we already have. So the goal here is to get The Universe to believe that we either have the things we want or we’ve already done them and therefore have the memory of it.

Most people believe that to visualize, you must find a quiet place, close your eyes and envision what you want. And yes, this commonly used meditative way of visualizing is true and effective but there are several other ways of using visualization to help you create the life of your dreams as well. Here, we will go over those different ways as well as teach you how to use the meditative visualization technique correctly so you can get the maximum benefits from it. Believe it or not, there is more to it than simply closing your eyes and visualizing what you want.

Meditative Visualization

We’ll start with the meditative visualization. This technique should always occur from a quiet and positive mindset. In fact, if you’re in a bad mood, waiting till you’re in a better mood to do your visualization session would be best. If you’ve read anything about the law of attraction, you know that manifesting is dependent on your emotions. And if your going to be visualizing how you want your life to be, the last thing you want is to add your negative emotions to those visuals. This could not only deter the manifestation of those things from happening, but it could actually make your situation worse and pull you even further away from those things you’re visualizing.

Once you’re in a good mood and you are ready, find a quiet space, making sure you’re able to give yourself a good 15-30 minutes for your session where you won’t be disturbed. Remember the beginning of your visualization will partly be simply getting yourself into the right mindset to start manifesting. Either sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. It’s very important to close your eyes, as you don’t want the reality and what is get in the way of what you want to create for yourself in the future.

You don’t just need to be happy during your visualizations. No. During your visualization session, you need to get yourself to the point where you are feeling so happy about having the things you’re imagining you have that you will barely even be able to tell whether or not you actually got them or if you were just visualizing it. If done right, much of the time your visualizations will turn out to be happier moments than the moment it actually came true in real life.  This is why I personally love visualizing to music. Music makes everyone happy. Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t like music? Neither have I.

Many people like to visualize quietly. And if you’re good at meditating that might possibly be the best way for you to do it. But for many, like me, we need a little something to help lift our spirits. This is actually the most crucial part of visualizing. You can visualize all day, all week, all month and all year. But if you aren’t giving your visuals the emotions it needs to back them up, those visualizations aren’t going to get you anywhere.

So before I begin my visualization session I put on some music that I enjoy and that I know will have either very short, or better yet, no commercials at all. For this reason I like Pandora plus or premium. Or you can also find some really good block sets on youtube as well.

What do I Visualize?

Once my music starts playing I close my eyes and visualize the way I want my life to be at its peak, meaning the height of my career or when I’m making the most money I can possibly imagine wanting and the happiest I will ever be, whether that be before or after my retirement. This will be different for everyone.  Personally, my peak is while I’m still working, but I’m only working a little bit and the work I am doing is fun for me.  But the majority of my time is spent enjoying my money.

 Most of the time I will visualize an entire day of the life I’m going to be living. Notice I said, going to be living and not want to live.  In my imagination I’m actually even saying, am living, instead of going to live. Every time I think of the words, want to live, I’m actually thinking, am living, even though I’m not living that life yet. But that would get a bit confusing for you and you wouldn’t understand a thing I was trying to say, so I won’t go there in this post. But I wanted to mention it so you can get an even better understanding of what kind mindset you should develop if you really want to start manifesting the life of your dreams with the law of attraction.

Now, back to what I was saying. My visualization sessions include visualizing a day in my new life from the moment I wake up in the morning. I envision what my bedroom looks like. I visualize myself getting out of bed and walking to the sliding glass door (in my bedroom), stepping out into my backyard and dipping my feet into my pool and saying hi to the pool boy who is busy at work cleaning it. Then I visualize walking into my huge kitchen and making myself some tea. After that I visualize standing with my kids in front my open garage door as we’re trying to decide whether I’m going to drive my kids to school in the Camero or the Escalade.

After my kids are dropped off at school my housekeeper gets to my house and starts her cleaning chores. I visualize myself going into my home office and looking up my bank account balance on either my phone or the computer. Since my income comes from online website businesses I take a look at how much each business is bringing it. And again, in order to stay consistent, I’m always careful to visualize the right numbers so that it matches up with the amount of businesses I have and the amount of money I have in the bank. For instance, If I have 5 online businesses that each make $5,000 a month, then $25,000 a month should be a logical amount of money for the age I am visualizing myself at and the amount of money I’m imagining I have saved up in the bank.

 I visualize my wardrobe and what kind of clothes I have. That too should coincide with the kind of money I’m making. Before I was actually able to afford them, I would look up classy women’s outfits before my visualization session so I could imagine myself wearing that outfit. Sometimes I visualize myself putting on a fashioned show form myself in my room – coming in and out of my huge walk-in closet. I visualize my husband and I throwing a great pool party & BBQ in out beautiful home for all our friends. 

Be Clear About What You Want

I really try and show exactly how much money I have and how much I make during every single visualization session. But to do this, I need to know exactly how much money I have. This is something I really can’t stress to you enough. In order to manifest anything, you must have a very clear understanding of what you want. When it comes to money, you not only need to know exactly how much money you want to have, but also that everything else you are visualizing coincides with that amount of money as well. For instance, If you are visualizing yourself bringing home $100,000 a year yet you are also visualizing yourself living in a mansion with a butler and 3 brand new sports cars, this is going to be very confusing to The Universe. One hundred thousand dollars a year isn’t near enough money for that kind of extravagant lifestyle. When you give The Universe mixed signals like that it isn’t going to know what to bring you. Does it bring you the job that pays you $100,000 a year or does it give you a business idea that will earn you enough money for your mansion, butler and 3 brand new sports cars?

Its simple reasons like this that can delay manifesting what you want. This is why being clear and knowing exactly what you want is one of the most, if not, the most important thing needed for successful manifestation, as you’ll see here in my post about What is the Law of Attraction & 10 Vital Steps on How to Use the Law of Attraction Effectively. The Universe will still bring you what you need, but because you are giving it mixed signals, it will probably bring you opportunities for both, making it that more difficult for you to make a decision.

Also in my visualization sessions I add in vacations to everywhere I can think of that I want to go. I imagine the great relationships I have with my husband, my children, and my family and friends. In my visualizations there is always a smile on my face. I’m always super happy in my visualizations because I’m living out my perfect life. And because I listen to music while I visualize, it makes the images in my mind play out like a music video or movie trailer about my life.

What should we see in our Visualizations?

Now, there is one important detail I’d like to talk about when it comes to this type of visualization. Most people, when visualizing, visualize themselves in the visual as if they are looking at themselves. But what sense does this make? The Universe makes the things we see happen. But, in real life, we don’t really see ourselves unless we’re looking in a mirror all the time, do we? In reality, when we see through our eyes we can see our arms, our hands, our torso, and our legs and feet. But we can’t see our face, or the back of our head right? So then why would we see those things in our visualization? The answer is, we shouldn’t. The only time we should see ourselves in our visualizations is when we’re looking in a mirror, which I do suggest you visualize yourself doing at least once in all your visualization sessions. It’s the only way to tell The Universe how you want to look in your future. Other than that, the only parts of ourselves we should be able to see are the parts of your body you are able to see right now. Without a mirror in front of you, if you can’t see it then it shouldn’t be in your visualization. Visualizing in this way will make your visualizations more true, real and authentic.

What do I do if I’m Just Not Feeling It?

Now, if you are trying this and you find that you are just not feeling it, I highly suggest you stop visualizing right away. If you are trying to visualize and you are having a hard time getting yourself to feel happy, this can have the opposite effect than what you’re going for because as you’re imagining yourself living the life you want, your mind is telling you what crap it is and that it isn’t true. As I stated before, the last thing you want is to visualize what you want only to add your negative emotions to it. If that is the case then you’d be better off not visualizing at all. If you find yourself in this position I would advise you to immediately stop visualizing. Give yourself some time and try and find something to lift your spirits before starting up again.

As I mentioned earlier, music can be really helpful in this area. Personally, music has been a total game changer for me when it comes to visualizing. First of all, come on, everyone loves music. Music not only can lift your mood for your visualization sessions but it can also change the dynamics of your sessions. When you listen to music while visualizing, it is really great at helping bring the emotions you’re feeling inside the visualization out and into the real world. So that smile and laughter I feel in my mind while visualizing, I also feel in my reality causing real laughter to ensue.  And this is what causes the manifestations. Because of the emotion I’m feeling in real life, the things I’m imagining are actually being created. And every time I visualize in this way, I’m bringing those creations (the things I’m visualizing) one-step closer to my reality and making it real.

Visualizing to music is especially good for those of us who aren’t good at meditating or just don’t really enjoy it. If you know you’re one of those people, then you may find yourself in a similar position when it comes to visualizing. But listening to your favorite music will make you feel good, ultimately making your visualization sessions much more enjoyable. Since I started using music, my visualization sessions went from somewhat feeling like a chore, which you should never feel, to becoming the part of my day I look forward to the most.  

Aside from the music, the main objective is to get yourself feeling as good as possible before you start visualizing. Think about your children, when they’re behaving, ha ha. Imagine enjoying you’re favorite food. Think about sex. Think about babies. Do what ever you can to make yourself feel happy.  Watch a funny movie or turn on Pandora and type in your favorite comedian. I like Bill Burr. Then, once you feel like you’re in a really good mood, try your visualization session again.

If You’re Having Doubts, Take it Slow

Take it step by step. If you’re just starting out using the law of attraction and you’ve literally just learned that our thoughts and emotions create our reality, you may still have some doubts about the whole thing. You might still need to see some proof before you can visualize and have wholehearted confidence that what you’re doing isn’t all hogwash and just a way to make a fool out of you. A lot of people need to see proof before they can believe in this, and that’s okay. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you’re willing to keep an open mind. In this case, wait until you’ve gotten yourself into a joyful mental state. Then just sit and visualize for a few minutes. You can do it for longer if you can but make sure you don’t go any longer than you can without feeling doubtful.

Then, once you have been able to successfully visualize for that short time, stop and move your mind to something else. The reason for this is because if you keep thinking about the things you were just visualizing you might accidentally start thinking about how they won’t really come true and this will undo all the progress you just made. So do what you can to get your mind off of what you were visualizing. The other thing you want to do right after you visualized but before moving on is to thank the universe for helping you to successfully visualize for the amount of time that you did. Everything we are thankful for we get more of, right? So if you want to be able to successfully visualize for longer periods of time, then be grateful for even the shortest visualizations sessions.

Another way to Visualize #1

Now moving on. The thing I love about visualizing is that you can do it anywhere. As long as you have an imagination you can visualize while standing in line at the grocery store without even closing your eyes. If there is a name for this kind of visualization I believe it would be called, daydreaming. If you daydream you are visualizing.

If you are a person with goal and dreams then you are a person who should be daydreaming every chance you get. As I was growing up my mother would call me a dreamer quite often. At the time she was saying it in a derogatory way. Little did either one of us realize at the time, that was probably one of my most beneficial qualities. Again, try not to visualize when you’re in a bad mood as this can actually do more harm than good. But any other time, as long as you don’t have to think or talk for a few minutes, take that time to block out the world for a little while and put yourself into your dream life for a mini visualization session. When you come back you’ll be that much closer to your goals.

 Another Way to Visualize #2

Moving on again. Visualizing with pictures and vision boards is one of the easiest ways to influence your subconscious. You work on it once and them once and then you have it for months to come until you move on and start creating new goals When you are creating your vision boards you don’t want to just throw some pictures up and be done. You want to really take your time with it and be creative. Find images of places you want to visit and glue an image of you and your family onto it so it looks like you guys were actually there. Then when you look at the image, pretend you were there. Actually think the thoughts, “Wow, what a great trip that was. I would sure love to go back to Paris again some day.”

One time my family went on a Disneyland trip because I cut out an image of my family and I and I glued it to a picture of the Disneyland entrance so it looked like we were actually there. The next year we went to Disneyland.

You can always make more than one vision board, in fact I highly suggest doing so. But no matter how you work it, don’t leave anything out and make sure you are using images that as close to the real thing as possible. If you want to go to Italy, look up some real landscapes or monuments you would like to see and put them on your vision boards. If you want a corvette, find the car you want and get some real pictures of the steering wheel. Then take some pictures of your hands and glue them to the picture of the Corvettes steering wheel, making it look like you’re driving it.

If you don’t have enough room on your vision boards for all the things you want to put on them, that’s okay. Use the rest of your photos and just place them around your house and work areas where you will see them often. Put them anywhere you can. Save them as a screensaver on your phone and computer. Have them laminated and make placemats out of them. Put them on the dash of your car. Put them everywhere. And every time you look at one of them, always, always, always, think of it as if it were something you’ve already done and how grateful you are that you got to do it. Remember, The Universe always gives us what it thinks we already have. So if it thinks we already have the memory of doing something awesome, it’s going to give us that memory for real.

Mind Movies   

I was talking about what to do with those left over pictures that you don’t have room for on your vision boards. And although I have some decent ideas, nothing compares to creating your own Mind Movie. Mind Movies are personalized visualization videos where you can insert both your own images into the video and you can also insert a wide selection of stock photos from the Mind Movies program. Simply add your pictures, and add your music and you can watch your own personalized videos over and over again. You can make several different types of videos all with their own subject. Make your vision boards and maybe even a few Mind Movies. Do it how ever you can, but just do it. Visualize it. Visualize the life that’s waiting for you. Visualize it until you’re living it.
